Converting from one medium to another

Library Systems Newsletter [September 1981]

Many libraries are now working on the conversion of records into machine-readable form, but some are already worrying about converting records from one machine-readable medium to another. There are conversion bureaus which will undertake conversions among mag cards, diskettes, cassettes, and magnetic tapes. Among them is Racal-Telesystems, a 35 person telecommunications company which has been in business for more than 7 years. A library may want to compare local price quotations with those of this company [Contact: Racal- Telesystems, 410 North Michigan Aye, Chicago, IL 60611].
