Barnes-Wilcox Co. now J.W. Wilcox & Follett Co.

Publisher's Weekly [February 2, 1918]

With January 15 the trade name of C.M. Barnes-Wilcox Co., the well-known Chicago educational publishers and jobbers, was changed to J.W. Wilcox & Barnes. The C.M. Barnes Co. was organized in 1894 and became C.M. Barnes-Wilcox in 1907. J.W. Wilcox, president of the company, has for the pas twenty-one years been secretary and treasurer, in charge of the office, and for the past twelve years principal owner. C.W. Follett has been connected with the company for over fifteen years, and has been vice-president since 1912. He will continue as vice-president, buyer and sales manager.

J.W. Wilcox & Follett Co. are Chicago distributors for Everyman's Library; Practical Drawing Co.; Whitcomb & Barrows; Bobbs-Merrill Co.; Webb Publishing Co.; J.B. Lippincott Co.; Schwartz, Kirwin & Fauss; Southern Publishing Co.; Frank D. Beattys Co.; A.L. Dykes ("Dykes Auto Encyclopedia") and Wm. H. Sadlier.
