Coherent Digital, publisher of South Asia Archive, today announced the expansion of their presence in India with the appointment of Shashank Singh as Sales Director, South Asia.
The appointment signals Coherent's commitment to South Asia through an investment in local personnel to serve universities, government departments, research centres, and other customer sites in the region.
Singh's appointment coincides with the July 1st relaunch of South Asia Archive, a landmark collection of 4.5 million pages of documents from across the Indian subcontinent written from 1700 to 1953, originally collected by the South Asian Research Foundation (SARF). The collection will be relaunched on Coherent Digital's platform at southasiacommons.net.
Based in Delhi, Shashank brings fourteen years of experience in the publishing industry to Coherent and says, "I'm delighted to be joining such a vibrant new company as Coherent Digital. The work they are doing to preserve content is significant, not just for South Asia, but also internationally."
