Hershey, PA, USA – May 10th, 2022. Academic publisher IGI Global and the Carolina Consortium have collaborated for the third consecutive year on an e-Book Title Sharing Agreement that is being offered to over 175+ institutions that are eligible to participate.
Participating institutions may purchase e-books (a minimum of one title) at a small multiplier, and subsequently gain shared perpetual ownership of all titles purchased on behalf of the group.
Each eligible institution can receive free trial access to IGI Global's entire portfolio of 6,600+ e-Books through May 17, 2022. This e-Book Title Sharing Agreement enables libraries to provide their students and faculty with some of the most innovative research from all over the world on a variety of major subjects.
"Through the partnership between the Carolina Consortium and IGI Global, member libraries have the chance to be a part of a unique and equitable title sharing program that offers access to quality research publications" says Nick Newcomer, Vice President of Sales & Marketing for IGI Global.
Additionally, participating institutions who invest US$ 5,000 or more in this transformative sharing model can consider converting several of their faculty's published work through IGI Global to Open Access (OA) (CC BY 4.0 license).
Through this agreement, the Carolina Consortium and IGI Global have come together to provide shared electronic resources, cooperative collection development, that aid in furthering OA efforts, as well as provide the libraries access to research at a lower cost.
If your institution's library is interested in participating in a similar transformative sharing agreement, recommend meeting with IGI Global to your consortia leadership.
