Matt Portner, EJD, director of auxiliary services at Ashland University, has been elected as the 2018-19 board chair of indiCo, a subsidiary of the National Association of College Stores (NACS) that provides services and programs to independent campus stores.
The announcement of his appointment was made at the indiCo Board of Directors meeting last week.
Portner has been an active member in the industry for many years. He has been an indiCo trustee since 2015 and also has served on the NACS Government Relations Committee and Nominating Committee. Currently, he is the foundation president of the National Association of College Auxiliary Services (NACAS). He also has held the positons of Central Region Representative to the National Board for NACAS, president of the NACAS Central Region, and 2016 Annual Conference Co-Chair. Portner has been employed at Ashland University for more than 25 years.
