Capira Curbside empowers 200+ library reopenings

NATICK, MA - Capira Technologies, LLC., a custom mobile app provider for public and academic libraries worldwide, continues to expand its growing list of library clients and facilitate library reopenings with its curbside reservation web platform. Since launching on June 1st, 2020 the platform has added over 200 individual library customers, with over 10,000 reservations created in its first two weeks of operation. Patrons are eager to begin retrieving materials after Covid-19 related closures, with one library customer having received over 400 reservations within 24 hours of announcing the system to their patrons.

With Capira Curbside, patrons can pre-schedule curbside pick up for library materials without the need for library staff to use online forms, or pen and paper processes. Unlike other library curbside systems, patrons using Capira Curbside will only be able to reserve a pickup slot when their holds are in a ready status.The staff console backend allows for limiting the amount of patrons for each time slot, alerts to when the patron arrives, and much more. Patrons can also easily edit information such as their arrival vehicle information, notes for staff, and other information to ensure a smooth process. Additionally, the platform offers an easy to use application programming interface (API) for customers, allowing libraries to integrate with the system outside of our standard web and mobile interfaces.
