BiblioCommons announces new automated marketing product plus newly built BiblioWeb and BiblioApps

Press Release: BiblioCommons [June 21, 2019]

Toronto, ON — This week at the American Library Association conference in Washington, D.C., Product Directors from BiblioCommons will share new versions of BiblioWeb and BiblioApps, as well as introduce BiblioEmail, an exciting new email marketing service developed specifically for public libraries.

"From our earliest days, BiblioCommons has sought to bring the same design principles and attention to detail that public libraries bring to their physical presence to their online customer experience," says Beth Jefferson, CEO and Co-Founder of BiblioCommons. "We're confident our products will cause patrons to fall in love with their local public library all over again."

The new BiblioWeb 3.0 offers all the valuable functionality that libraries have come to expect from BiblioWeb, but with more power, greater flexibility, and even better ease of use. A brand new page builder with an intuitive drag-and-drop interface allows library staff to design their own pages from scratch, or to simply insert their content into ready-made templates. Revamped taxonomies structuring the website content allow for even easier featuring and cross-promotion of blog posts, events, recommendation lists, and more. Today, Chicago Public Library and almost all other BiblioWeb libraries have migrated to the new BiblioWeb 3.0.

BiblioApps has also been completely rebuilt to reflect public libraries' need to create more personalized, engaging library experiences, wherever their patrons are. It provides automated, integrated features to promote a library's events, collections, staff recommendations and more on mobile, and increase overall library use — both online and in person. The new BiblioApps is available in beta for iOS, with the Android version coming soon.

In addition to releasing BiblioWeb 3.0 and a completely rebuilt BiblioApps, BiblioCommons is thrilled to announce a new product, BiblioEmail. Leveraging the "Create once, publish anywhere" capabilities of BiblioWeb, BiblioEmail intelligently pulls all of the library's content into email campaigns or newsletter templates tailored to the preferred location, age, and interests of patrons, at scale.
