RedLink is pleased to announce the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP) is now offering RedLink's reader engagement tool Remarq for the Journal of Managed Care and Specialty Pharmacy (JMCP). Remarq, which launched on JMCP on February 25, is a platform that allows for collaboration, annotation, commenting and article sharing using editorial tools directly connected to an article's version of record.
By supporting engagement on the version of record, Remarq helps JMCP achieve its mission of publishing peer-reviewed original research manuscripts, subject reviews, and other content intended to advance the scientific method in practice of managed care pharmacy.
"One of the tenets of AMCP is to foster constructive dialogue on today's most pressing health care challenges," says AMCP CEO Susan A. Cantrell, RPh, CAE. "That is why we pleased to offer the Remarq online engagement tool to readers of JMCP. This provides a platform for researchers, managed care pharmacy professionals and all other interested stakeholders to comment and share their perspectives on the important research published each month in our journal."
"Technology is enabling a renaissance in academic publishing today," says JMCP Editor-in-Chief Laura E. Happe, PharmD, MPH. "No longer do readers have to wait for paper journals to be delivered or watch for letters to the editor, which may be published 2 or 3 months following the original article. With the addition of JMCP's new online engagement tool, readers and authors alike have a public forum in which to discuss reactions and implications of published research, nearly in real time. This technology, coupled with our online articles and Express Epub option, is just one more way we are advancing the journal to meet the needs of our readers today."
"The Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy is thoughtful and careful in their approach, and Remarq's editorial controls and sophistication really matched their requirements nicely," said Kent Anderson, CEO of RedLink. "We look forward to seeing how JMCP utilizes Remarq. It's encouraging to see how Remarq continues to grow in the biomedical journals space."
