Backstage's Bethleham office debuts expansion

Press Release: Backstage Library Works [September 28, 2017]

BETHLEHEM, Pa., September 28, 2017 – Backstage Library Works (www.bslw.com) officially opened the new wing of their office in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. The expansion adds 2,800 square feet of office space. The new addition will accommodate Backstage's growing Metadata and Digitization teams, enabling them to gear up quickly and efficiently for incoming projects. The addition allows Backstage to consolidate all of their planetary cameras in one location. Increased space between cameras allows for more efficient and safer handing of client materials, and improved operator comfort. Bay sizes have also been increased in camera stations designated for oversize materials.

In addition to providing room for expansion of traditional, planetary camera bays, Backstage now has a dedicated studio for capturing dimensional objects. This greatly enhances Backstage's capabilities and opens the door for providing its clients 3D capture.

Nate Cothran, President of Backstage states:

"As our business continues to grow to address the needs of our clients and their collections, we also need to expand our infrastructure to meet those expectations.

"We look forward to providing our clients the type of solutions, engagement, project fulfillment, and customer satisfaction they have come to expect from Backstage."

Andreas Otto, Digital Imaging Technology Manager for Backstage relays:

"The new space has allowed us to create a purpose-built, professional environment for digital capture, assuring our clients of our commitment and capabilities. At the same time, the expansion creates an atmosphere that will bring out the best in our technicians."
