GLASGOW, Scotland, June 23, 2016 – collectionHQ, the world's leading collection performance improvement solution is pleased to announce a new partnership with SOLUS to offer customers of both services the opportunity to use the SOLUS Library App in conjunction with collectionHQ.
This development will mean that users can automatically update their Integrated Library System (ILS) with changes to their collection while working with collectionHQ Action Plans – which provide direction on tasks from Selection to Weeding to transferring items to new locations.
Neil Wishart, CEO at SOLUS commented: "SOLUS strives to deliver convenient, fast and efficient mobile transactions for both patrons and library professionals. Data should flow seamlessly backwards and forwards automatically between systems and this should not even be a consideration for the person undertaking the task. It's therefore great news that collectionHQ and SOLUS have partnered to cut out a laborious manual task, that of updating the ILS and that this will now happen automatically and instantly as the staff member is taking the action."
collectionHQ's Director, International Business Development, Ian Downie commented: "collectionHQ is all about efficiencies and helping public libraries to work smarter. We are delighted to be working with SOLUS to bring a more streamlined workflow to our public library customers with a direct link back into the ILS via the SOLUS Library App. This should help them carry out routine collection management with even greater efficiency, freeing up staff time and allowing them to focus on other value add activities."
