Revolutionary and Evolutionary Innovation: Recent trends in Library Resource Management and Discovery Technologies
Abstract: Marshall Breeding will provide an update on some of the trends related to resource management and discovery services of interest to academic libraries. Themes of interest include increased collaborative implementations; comprehensive management of print, electronic, and digital resources; providing access to library resources via index-based discovery services; deeper integration with campus infrastructure; and exploration of incorporation of linked data and semantic web technologies in library information systems.
