Academic institutions select ProQuest Intota for transformative library management capabilities and industry-leading user experience

Press Release: ProQuest [January 28, 2015]

SEATTLE, January 28, 2015. Academic institutions around the world are selecting the Intota library services platform, a transformational cloud-based service that simplifies two major challenges libraries face today: collection assessment and e-resource management. Released last June, Intota v1 combines industry-leading discovery, linking, collection management and assessment in one system, built on a single, authoritative knowledgebase.

Significant adoption of Intota over the last six months is a clear indication that innovative libraries are recognizing the immediate benefits of this integrated best-in-class solution, and the value achieved from a flexible, phased migration path to unplugging legacy systems. Since the launch last year by ProQuest, more than 35 libraries around the world have chosen the first version of Intota.

"These customers represent the diversity of institutions that acknowledge the need for next generation library systems. Our partners believe implementing a modern library services platform is the best approach to address the biggest pain points within libraries" said Jane Burke, vice president, market development, ProQuest. "This marketplace momentum is validation of our solution strategy and responds to what libraries need to transform their workflows, make data-driven decisions about their collections and deliver an intuitive, user-friendly discovery and access experience for patrons."
