NASHVILLE, TN and CLEVELAND, OH (June 2002) - Abingdon Press and OverDrive, Inc. announced today that Abingdon Press eBooks are now available for wider online distribution through OverDrive's Content Reserve Digital Content Network. Abingdon Press is the publishing arm of The United Methodist Publishing House. OverDrive, Inc. is a leading provider of eCommerce, digital rights management (DRM) and digital media marketplace solutions. Content Reserve is a global digital content clearinghouse with thousands of titles from over 350 publishers including Random House, HarperCollins, McGraw-Hill, Scholastic and Zondervan. Abingdon Press, an imprint of The United Methodist Publishing House, will be adding their religious titles to Content Reserve, including all of Lyle Schaller's church leadership books and many daily devotional titles. In addition to the Schaller selection, Abingdon Press will announce its eBook offerings with a new line of original church leadership books: The Convergence eBook series. The first three titles in the series are Unfreezing Moves by Bill Easum, Road Runner by Tom Bandy, and A Prophetic Compass for the Emerging Church by Tom Hohstadt. With the new launch of its eBook product offering, Abingdon will be the first to release the downloadable Microsoft Reader edition of The New Revised Standard Version (NRSV) of the Bible.

"Abingdon Press is highly motivated to offer eBooks to retailers and consumers," said Paul Franklyn, Director of ePublishing for Abingdon Press.
