Atlanta, GA, August 19, 2014 – EnvisionWare, a leading provider of self-service and library efficiency solutions, announced today that Arlington Public Library in Texas has migrated to EnvisionWare RFID from a 3M RFID system.
Arlington Public Library, located in Arlington, TX, serves a population of just over 370,000. The migration includes the Central Library and all six branch locations with 620,000 items and annual circulation of 2.1 million.
The EnvisionWare migration was relatively seamless. EnvisionWare RFID technology is compatible with the Library's existing 3M tags so the Library did not have to retag the collection. In addition, Arlington has the flexibility to use existing self-service checkout desktop hardware with the EnvisionWare software.
Director of Libraries Cary Siegfried says, "We are looking forward to offering efficient and intuitive self-service options for our community that enhance our ability to provide excellence in library services. The solutions provided by EnvisionWare are anticipated to meet that need."
In addition to EnvisionWare RFID, Arlington offers EnvisionWare's PC:Reservation and LPT:One software for computer and print management, EnvisionWare eCommerce Services, and EnvisionWare Enterprise Reporter.
