David Walker, EBSCO Industries Chief Financial Officer, has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of EBSCO Industries, Inc. effective immediately.
Walker joined the company in 2000 as general manager of Military Service Company before becoming EBSCO's vice president of Acquisitions in 2001. As vice president of Acquisitions, Walker led EBSCO in completing approximately 40 acquisitions.
After assuming responsibility for managing the Finance Department in 2010, Walker was promoted to CFO effective July 1, 2010.
As Chief Operating Officer, Walker will maintain oversight of Finance, Tax, Legal Services and Mergers & Acquisitions, with the addition of overseeing Accounting, Administrative Services and Corporate Communications.

In conjunction with this change, Heather Moore will become vice president of Accounting, and Jason English will become vice president of Finance & Tax. Moore has been with EBSCO since 1991 serving in multiple capacities, with her most recent appointment as Accounting manager and assistant vice president. English, a Certified Public Accountant, has been the director of Tax for EBSCO since 2005.
