As part of a plan to create a new Cathedral library, Christ Church Cathedral is embarking on a project to automate their catalogue for the first time. The Library has chosen the Koha open source library management system for this project. Interleaf Technology has been contracted to implement the Koha system and to provide on-going support services.
Koha Library Management System
With the Koha LMS, library staff access to the system is completely web-based: Searching, circulation, cataloguing, serials and reports, acquisitions and EDI are all performed using a web browser.
As the catalogue grows, the online catalogue will offer an excellent search capability and a full range of personalisation services. Koha's depth of functionality continues to evolve and expand to meet the changing needs of its user base.

About Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin
Christ Church cathedral is the mother church of the Church of Ireland dioceses of Dublin and Glendalough. Founded in the 11th century it was a Benedictine and then Augustinian cathedral priory before the Reformation, since when it has been a secular cathedral. The medieval library was dispersed following the Reformation and a subsequent library was sold in 1980. The cathedral is in the process of building up a new library which will meet the working needs of the cathedral community, visitors and researchers.
