Alliant International University chooses Vivantech's Ekualiti for comprehensive, Cloud-based KC for grants management and Rice with Visual Workflow for business automation

Press Release: Kuali Foundation [May 29, 2014]

Vivantech, a leader in consulting and development of enterprise grade, open-source software for higher education has announced that Alliant International University has started to implement Ekualiti KC to consolidate its research and grant administration, and Ekualiti Rice for business process automation and workflow.

Alliant International University (Alliant), with an enrollment of nearly 4000, is a private, nonprofit institution based in San Diego, Calif. with six California campuses, and three international campuses. The institution uses the Jenzabar ERP administrative suite, but is able to take advantage of Ekualiti Rice for above-platform workflow. Additionally, Alliant has leveraged Ekualiti KC for more streamlined, effective research and grants administration. After evaluating options, Alliant has decided on Vivantech's Ekualiti KC for its improved UI, the out-of-the-cloud reports, flexibility and security.

"We have been implementing Ekualiti KC and Ekualiti Rice into our ERP system, and six months into the process, we're very happy to be working with Vivantech," said Dennis Stutes, CTO, Alliant International University. "Vivantech has helped us in account provisioning so we can access third party systems. To provision those accounts for different applications is very complex and is a manually intensive endeavor. Vivantech has adapted to everything we've asked and found ways to match our requirements."

Based on open-source Kuali software and built on the Amazon AWS platform, Ekualiti delivers secure, reliable, and scalable higher educational administrative software solutions. Ekualiti SaaS packages include the Ekualiti Rice workflow and middleware platform and any combination of Ekualiti core components. All Ekualiti modules have a consistent look, and the modular Ekualiti suite can be deployed in conjunction with existing on-premise or SaaS ERP applications, giving colleges and universities optimal flexibility to move any or all of their ERP processes to the cloud. Modules available now include Ekualiti KC for research and grant administration and Ekualiti Rice with Visual Workflow for business process automation.

Ekualiti is a cost-effective alternative to proprietary ERP software that blends the economy of open source Kuali software with instantly-available functionality.
