Central Library Consortium's newest members now live on Polaris ILS

Press Release: Innovative Interfaces, Inc. [April 22, 2014]

April 22, 2014 -- Emeryville, CA. Three libraries have joined the Central Library Consortium (CLC) in Ohio, accounting for 14 member libraries that are now live on the Polaris Integrated Library System (ILS). The newest members include Upper Arlington Public Library and Bexley Public Library, migrating from Virtua and Millennium respectively, as well as current Polaris customer London Public Library.

The addition of these libraries results in a 20% increase of unique titles that have been added to the CLC collection. The Central Library Consortium will also become one of the largest circulating consortia on the Polaris ILS, with an annual circulation exceeding 22 million.

Wes Osborn, Executive Director of Information Technology, says: "Last year, Polaris enabled our members to fill 1.3 million hold requests with material from another library. With the addition of over 150,000 unique titles from our new members, we look forward to providing more shared resources for patrons in the Central Ohio area."

"We are delighted to welcome Upper Arlington, Bexley and London Public Library to the Central Library Consortium and look forward to building upon our strong partnership together," says Scott McCausland, VP of Polaris Sales. "As they join the growing customer base of public libraries that use the Polaris ILS, we will continue to provide diverse solutions to better connect with the community and offer a seamless experience to library staff and patrons alike."
