PROVO, Utah, February 28, 2014 – Results from recently completed on-site library projects show Backstage Library Works leading the way in domestic and international library support services. In just twelve months, Backstage has completed Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) labeling projects across the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom, tagging nearly 3 million items in 37 branch locations.
In addition to their RFID conversion services, Backstage offers complete on-site solutions that include reclassification, retrospective conversion, deselection, inventory, high-density storage, digitization and microfilming.
John Reese, on-site services product manager for Backstage indicates:
"As a fellow librarian, it pleases me to see how our processes free library staff to tend to the needs of their patrons. As a result, librarians are also able to spend more time in developing services and programs. Our processes allow libraries to stay open while we work efficiently in the background, completing projects on time or ahead of schedule."
Libraries that have recently benefited from Backstage's on-site RFID conversion services include:
- University of Kent, England
- Clearwater Public Library System, Fla., six branches
- Halifax Public Libraries, Nova Scotia, Canada, 14 branches
- Norfolk Public Library, Va., 14 branches
- Library of Birmingham, England
- Orland Park Public Library, Ill.
