Birmingham City University chooses Rebus:list from PTFS Europe

Press Release: PTFS Europe [August 19, 2013]

Birmingham City University has chosen Rebus:list – the reading list management system from PTFS Europe. Rebus:list offers a significant advance in cost effective management of the entire workflow involved in the delivery and presentation of reading lists. With an elegant user interface, a comprehensive web services API and a contemporary software architecture, Rebus:list delivers truly seamless integration with any library system, eDiscovery service, VLE and back office systems. Rebus:list offers libraries a real alternative when choosing a new reading list management system.

Paul Williams, eLibrary Manager at Birmingham City University, outlined their reasons for choosing Rebus:list: "At Birmingham City University, we're committed to ensuring that our students receive the best possible access to library resources, especially those key text resources which form part of the reading list. Rebus:list offers us a vehicle to provide this access in a much smarter form, making full use of both the underlying data from our Summon service, and also the engaging user interface which students rightly expect from our systems."

Nick Phipps, Rebus:list Business Manager at PTFS Europe said: "Birmingham City University deciding on Rebus:list is a fantastic way for Rebus:list to complete its first academic year! A key element of this implementation will be integrating Rebus:list with their Serials Solutions Summon discovery service."
