Emeryville, CA. California's Black Gold Cooperative Library System (BGCLS) has selected SkyRiver, Innovative's comprehensive cataloging service offering unprecedented record quality and ease of use, for its six libraries. The group will use SkyRiver for downloading, editing, and contributing records to their local and shared catalogs, which totals over 450,000 records. Black Gold is migrating to SkyRiver from OCLC's Connexion.
Tom Jacobson, Director of Resource Sharing for Innovative, says: "Public library consortia have chosen SkyRiver because they appreciate the service's clean, fresh approach to providing cataloging metadata, and find the records they need with minimal duplication. We're thrilled to welcome BGCLS to our growing network of public and academic library users."
