Atlas Systems announces staff changes to enhance service to growing customer base

Press Release: Atlas Systems, Inc. [January 3, 2013]

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – January 3, 2013 – Jason Glover, president and chief executive officer of Atlas Systems, has announced management changes that will result in a closer alignment of customer support and training and facilitate improved communication with customers. Atlas Systems is the developer of ILLiad for interlibrary loan, Ares for e-reserves, and Aeon for special collections management.

Stephanie Spires will assume the newly-created role of chief service officer, managing customer support, consulting services, and training. Genie Powell will continue as chief customer officer, transforming the role to focus on interfacing with customers to ensure all Atlas products continue to evolve to meet customer needs. Kathy Poston will broaden her responsibilities as director of information technology services (ITS).

"In 2012 Atlas Systems continued to expand in the number of customers and staff," said Glover. "With this growth it's critical that we keep our focus on what works for our customers. Under Genie's leadership this year we have brought our three software packages closer together with a common look and feel that provides customers who use multiple Atlas products with a more effective and efficient work environment. In her role as chief customer officer she will continue to be the voice of the customer to our product development team."

Glover said that the increase in number of customers has created an opportunity to streamline the way support and training are handled to better meet customer needs. "Moving support and training into one department under Stephanie's leadership will enable Atlas to match skills to projects and to allocate staff where the needs are greatest. Questions that come into support will help drive a more responsive training curriculum, including videos for the new Video Training Library," Glover said.

Kathy Poston will lead a new Atlas department called Information Technology Services (ITS). The group will be responsible for the implementation and ongoing management of Atlas' Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to ensure smooth communication with customers. In addition, ITS will be in charge of Atlas' internal and external facing computer systems, including hosted servers. "As more customers recognize the value of hosting services with Atlas, Kathy and her team will work with them to ensure a smooth transition and seamless integration," commented Glover.

"This is an exciting time for Atlas Systems," Glover continued. "We are fortunate to have a stellar staff that is eager to take on new opportunities and challenges as we look forward to continued growth and success."
