Abstract: City Council to authorize the City Manager to enter into a professional services agreement with SirsiDynix's Symphony Integrated Library System (ILS) for software services and support, subject to final negotiations ofterms by the city attorney. The fiscal impact over a seven-year period would be approximately $190,000. This amount takes into effect any CPI increases over 3%. The Information Technology (IT) budget for FY 2012-13 included an amount of up to $60,000 as the potential first-year cost for the replacement of the system. The first-year cost as proposed is $39,995 and no additional funding is required. IT currently pays approximately $18,000 in annual maintenance costs for the existing Dynix system.
The new system costs for years two through seven will be a net increase of approximately $5,000 per year.
