A reference library on the desktop: and announce strategic content partnership

This partnership will see provide high-quality aggregated and integrated reference content for use within the website and the Personal Desktop Assistant (PDA),'s intelligent desktop search tool.

This new partnership combines the sophistication of the PDA desktop search tool with's vast amount of high-quality reference content through the new Reference Zone. users will now have fast and easy access to more than 200,000 individual entries taken from the encyclopaedias, dictionaries, thesauri, and books of quotations of some of the world's leading publishing brands.

The addition of content to the Reference Zone will allow users to find detailed and authoritative reference material quickly and easily. By simply highlighting any relevant text on the desktop, then 'dragging and dropping' it onto the PDA icon, a full list of relevant dictionary, encyclopaedia, thesaurus and quotation entries will be delivered. The Reference Zone is just one of many Zones created by, which has broken down the vast resources of the Web into Zones.'s Zones are logical groupings of similar results. For example, if the user performs a search on Nokia WAP, they would receive groups of results with documents organised in the Web Zone, more from the company's website in the Company Zone, as well as breaking news from agency sites within the News Zone.
