Civica to implement new library systems at National Library Board in Singapore

Civica South East Asia is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a project to upgrade the Library Management System by the National Library Board (NLB).

Alongside the Ministry of Education (MOE), the NLB is now one of Civica South East Asia's major projects.

Civica will be implementing the Spydus LMS and Sorcer discovery interface in the NLB's 25 libraries and mobile library.

In addition to providing a state-of-the-art library catalogue and discovery layer, Civica will also provide a legal deposit system for the NLB.

Mr Philip Barr, Managing Director, Civica South East Asia said: "We're proud to be working with an organisation that promotes reading communities and lifelong learning. Our library expertise that has for many years benefitted Singaporean school students will now extend to the wider community."

The go-live of these new systems and interfaces is scheduled for 2013.
