Vancouver, Canada (January 20, 2011) - SydneyPLUS KM, provider of Library KM software and solutions to Fortune 1000 companies, law firms and government agencies has just announced that its Inmagic division has reacquired Presto, bringing it back into Inmagic's portfolio of library and KM solutions. Presto is a social knowledge management platform integrating knowledge-based content with the "wisdom of the community" to create an "Enterprise 2.0" environment that supports your organization's research and business objectives. Inmagic also acquired the applications built using the Presto platform: Presto Social Library, Presto KnowledgeNet, Presto AssociatioNet, and Presto IdeaNet.
In late 2011 SydneyPLUS KM acquired Inmagic's Library Suite of products and trademark. Simultaneously, it announced the intent to form a strategic partnership to co-market and support the Presto product line.
"While negotiating the new strategic partnership, it became apparent the best way to continue maximizing our clients' initial investment in Presto would be for Presto to re-join the Inmagic product family," says Phillip Green, the former Inmagic, Inc. CTO & CEO. "I'm really excited by the prospect of having the complete Inmagic solution suite under the new SydneyPLUS KM banner because it guarantees that Presto will continue to grow with new features and capabilities for the benefit of all our customers around the globe." As head of the SydneyPLUS Inmagic division, Green will also assume responsibility for Presto and its team of sales, customer support, and engineering staff.
Already a major player in the Knowledge Management industry, SydneyPLUS KM is in the process of establishing a global KM leadership position. "The Presto acquisition is part of an initiative to expand our suite of KM solutions and meet the needs of an even wider range of organizations. The ability to go to one vendor, capable of meeting a full range of KM needs has inherent economic and business value," says SydneyPLUS president Ron Aspe. "Our growing client base recognizes and demands this value, and the acquisition of Presto helps ensure our ability to deliver."
