With a breadth of experience from across the world following the merger of the Swiss, UK and US businesses in 2011, Bibliotheca Group today announces a new global product set for 2012, which presents its customers with an unprecedented portfolio.
Following the merger of three of the leading library solution providers in 2011, a new product portfolio was always to be a exciting proposition for the Group, bringing together the experience of three cultures, geographies and expectations into a single catalogue that could be enjoyed by customers world-wide. Today, Bibliotheca are delighted to announce the launch of their 2012 product range, which now offers customers around the world a breadth of choice not previously seen within the library market.
The flagship self-service (smartserve) collection has been developed to provide customers with a choice of five distinct options, each of which offers a selection of exciting features at price points to fit every library budget. Options range from built-in and tabletop through to complete self-contained kiosks with cash and card payment.
Supporting the self-service products, the catalogue also includes an improved and extended range of staff circulation, handheld devices, security gates and new bulk transit/receipt solutions, together with exciting new on-shelf reading solutions.
Hardware will be supported by a new range of software products, which will provide a consistent experience for users whilst offering innovative features and options – all of which can be modified, controlled and maintained by the Groups smartadmin central management platform.
Within each product category, customers are provided with a range of technology choices from barcode through to ElectroMagnetic (EM) and, of course, industry-leading RFID. Products are available for demonstration from January with first installations commencing April 2012.
For full details of the new product catalogue, libraries should contact their local sales office or approved Bibliotheca distributor. A new customer-focussed website will be launched later this quarter with full specifications and details of every product in the range.
