Bethesda, MD – September 23rd, 2011 – LibLime, a Division of PTFS, announces that the American Craft Council (ACC) has successfully migrated to LibLime Koha.
The American Craft Council (ACC) worked with LibLime's project management staff on data migration, system configuration, and training. LibLime also provided the ACC with data conversion services by generating MARC records for thousands of descriptive records that were in non-MARC format. Now that ACC is live on LibLime Koha, they will enjoy the benefits of LibLime's support and hosting in our distributed computing cloud platform.
When asked about her implementation experience, Jessica Shaykett, Librarian at ACC said, "We came to LibLime Koha with the challenging task of migrating data that wasn't entirely in MARC format. The team at LibLime really thought outside the box when it came to migrating the data. They pushed to ensure we would end up with high-quality, compatible bibliographic and item records. The staff was always available to answer systems-related questions in the greatest detail. We are very pleased to have made the switch to LibLime Koha – as new features and software enhancements are constantly coming available, we look forward to having a web-based catalog that continues to develop and meet our unique needs as a special library."
