Boston and Oxford – Credo Reference, the award-winning online reference service, is pleased to announce the addition of Deborah Harman in the United Kingdom and John Shawler in the United States. The twin hires support the company's growth trend that has seen the size of the company's staff double in the past twelve months.
John Shawler brings a unique and valuable skillset to Credo Reference, with experience in education, technology, and library science. John has taught in public schools in Maryland, Virginia, South Korea and Thailand and worked for Apple Computer. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Ohio University and a Master's Degree in Electronic and Digital Library Management from The University of Sheffield.
In his role as Solutions Analyst, John will focus on helping Credo Reference libraries fulfill their strategies for overall improvement in the quality of research, information literacy, user satisfaction, and faculty engagement. "I'm very excited to be working in such a key area of responsibility during this exciting time at Credo Reference."
Deborah Harman comes to Credo Reference with vast experience in academic publishing in the UK having worked with top publishers and service providers in the industry. She joins Credo as International Sales Manager, and will be working with UK academic libraries as well as libraries globally. "I'm so pleased to be concentrating my efforts and time with Credo Reference at such an exciting time of growth," commented Deborah.
Both John and Deborah join the team led by Carol Helton, Credo's VP of Worldwide Sales and Marketing.
