Abstract: This document is the Alberta Public Libraries Technology Report and Recommendations developed according to the request for proposal (RFP) by the Alberta Municipal Affairs Public Library ServicesBranch [2], and in accordance with the Public Library Services Branch supplied requirements [3].The main purpose is to define technology-based recommendations and candidate projects that can be executed over a three-year period. The intention of the report is to address technology needs identified by public library stakeholders that have been identified prior to and during the development of the report. The needs are to be addressed both in the current timeframe and in a way that anticipates future technology trends and uses.
