May 2007 – The City of San Juan, TX has signed a contract with Library Systems and Services (LSSI) to staff and operate the San Juan Public Library through September 2012.
Under the terms of the contract, LSSI will increase the hours the library will be open to the public to at least 56 hours per week.
"Hiring LSSI will allow the City of San Juan to have an MLS degreed librarian working full time in its library," says Bob Windrow, LSSI's Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "In addition, Mayor San Juanita Sanchez would like a significantly larger library built for the citizens of San Juan and LSSI is committed to working closely with the City to help make that goal become a reality."
