Birmingham, Ala., – July 6, 2009 – EBSCO has announced the appointment of Kittie Henderson, M.L.S., to director of the company’s Academic and Law divisions. Henderson was formerly the academic sales manager for the company’s Los Angeles office.
Henderson joined EBSCO in 1992 as account services manager in Los Angeles. She soon transitioned to sales where she has developed strong relationships with customers throughout the western United States. Allen Powell, president of EBSCO Information Services, said, "Kittie brings credibility, professionalism, a keen sense of service and a very high level of energy to this position." Henderson succeeds Kathleen Born, who has retired after 26 years with EBSCO.
In her new role, Henderson will relocate to company’s Birmingham, Ala., headquarters and will assume responsibility for working with EBSCO staff and clients in North America. A key focus for Henderson will be to continue to grow EBSCO’s capability to provide leading services and products to its library customers. We must continue to offer outstanding service but also be nimble enough to adapt to A rapidly changing environment," said Henderson.
