April 27, 2009. Relais International is pleased to announce that The Defence Science and Technology Organisation (DSTO) have selected the Relais ILL system. DSTO is part of Australia's Department of Defence. It is the Australian Government’s lead agency charged with applying science and technology to protect and defend Australia and its national interests
The Relais ILL system will be hosted by DSTO and includes the Relais Access web-based pages that allow library patrons to create and monitor their own ILL requests. Staff will use a new and enhanced web-based staff interface to allow them to process ILL requests. The system includes the fully integrated Relais Scanning Module for seamless electronic delivery of items to patrons and to other libraries, and the optional Self Registration module that allows patrons to register themselves for placing ILL requests via web.
Clare MacKeigan, COO of Relais International, says "we are delighted to welcome the staff of DSTO Library to our expanding network of customers in Australia." We expect that DSTO will go live with Relais ILL in the 2nd quarter of 2009.
