ATHENS, OH --August 31, 2008-- LibLime, the leader in open-source solutions for libraries announced today that the Bell/Whittington Library in Portland, Texas has selected a hosted Koha ZOOM solution for their next integrated library system.
The Library's database of over 32,000 items will be hosted off-site at one of LibLime's secure data centers. The Library has also contracted with LibLime for data migration, support and training on their Koha system.
"The reason that we decided to go with Koha was that we had wanted to find the most cost-effective ILS that offered the most bells and whistles," says library director Adam Brooks.
"We had initially planned to try and implement the system ourselves, but time and personnel constraints prevented us from doing that, " Adam explains. "LibLime offered a package that provided everything we needed, and would free us from troubleshooting the ILS system ourselves."
"This will definitely make for a much more productive environment at the Bell/Whittington Library," he adds.
