Huntsville, Alabama, August 1, 2006 – Book Systems, Inc. creates KidZviZ, a newly designed K-3 Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) search interface for its Atriuum 100 percent Web-based library automation solution.
Powered by its' People, Places and Things searching index, KidZviZ allows children to apply logical image association with terminology and training that they've received in the classroom. Kids adapt to it naturally because it's built around their abilities. They are presented with colorful and humorous icons that represent selections from within the library.
"We've built the first meaningful departure from the status quo and raised the bar for all similar products. Unlike other visual navigation systems, everything fits in a way kids can quickly grasp. It's point and click interface creates a world through which kids with a wide range of reading skills can navigate. And, it's a standard feature of our Atriuum product at no extra cost." said Doug West, Book Systems' Chief Technical Officer.
Atriuum is receiving kudos for KidZviZ, a high-impact graphic environment that creates a world through which young students with limited reading skills can navigate. There's a natural place for every title within the KidZviZ People-Places-Things structure.
