Abstract: This article describes the development of a "jobline" system offered via the State of Oregon Web server. The system automated preparation of State Jobline documents. The online job announcments are peripheral copies of the original word processor documents, sent to the system by e-mail. Of-the-shelf technology was used to completely automate the processing of a complex data set and to present it with multiple access points. Standard products like FileMaker Pro, Applescript, and WebSTAR, along with system utilities like e-mail and FTP, were used to handle the complete job. The Webbed job announcement file is available for inspection at http://www.das.state.or.us/jobs/.
