April 26, 2007 -- Rome, Italy. The AquaBrowser implementation for the Carabinieri Force in Turin, Italy has gone live. The network, including five libraries and an historical archive and documentation centre, is now making use of AquaBrowser for searching and discovering information. The entire Carabinieri Force will benefit internally from the visual faceted search power of AquaBrowser for police units in Italy.
Since the middle of the nineteenth century the Carabinieri Force has acquired an international dimension. This has been achieved by its traditional professionalism and its role as a military organization with civil policing functions for immediate response in protection in states of emergency. In particular, it has been involved in overseas peacekeeping operations in contingents of Italians as well as in alliance with other nations, autonomously assisting in the reconstruction of the forces of law and order and in associated training programs.
AquaBrowser Library is distributed in Italy by Medialab Solutions' exclusive partner, Prime Source. This live implementation marks yet another significant achievement for Prime Source, which has a diversified collection of Italian AquaBrowser customers, proving the flexibility and agility of the search tool.
Medialab and Prime Source look forward to announcing more Italian AquaBrowser customers joining over 200 libraries worldwide this spring.
