AquaBrowser Library is now officially 'live' at the Amsterdam Public Library. Next to the AquaBrowser catalog search in the library's holdings you will find 'Muziekweb', a Dutch music online library offering a treasure trove of information on music; albums, trivia, reference and music websites. You can even listen to music clips live right from the search results!
Since its launch, the newest AquaBrowser Library has already received a mountain of congratulatory and praising comments from users and library directors. AquaBrowser Library provides a wholly unique and user-friendly search experience as it continually provides suggestions throughout a user's search, taking them on a virtual information expedition through the library's holdings, until the user finds exactly what he is looking for.
"We are so proud of this achievement with AquaBrowser Library, and know that the resources it merges together are pointed directly towards the community in Amsterdam. This is a milestone implementation in which Amsterdam Public Library is using AquaBrowser Library to position itself to serve as the online source for all local news, heritage, cultural and economic information in the city.
"Now the residents of Amsterdam (and anyone else) can get the best and most current information at their local library. Amsterdam is a youthful and exciting city and the public library completely reflects that with its quality sources. Like the city, the new catalog has a real 'hip' factor and it is clearly not the library catalog of the past," stated Bastiaan Zwaan, Medialab Solutions CEO.
