LONDON, Feb. 21, 2006 - SirsiDynix, the global leader in strategic technology solutions for libraries, announced today that both Peterborough City Council and Angus Council, located in the United Kingdom, are migrating to the SirsiDynix Horizon Library Management System.
Peterborough City Council's Horizon system will be hosted by SirsiDynix. Horizon will provide access via a graphical user interface to cataloging, circulation and acquisitions. Access to the online public access catalog will also be available over the Internet via the Horizon Information Portal. Online mobile library connectivity will continue to be provided by the Horizon Mobile Library Solution, and Horizon Telephone Messaging will continue to enable customers to retrieve and update their circulation information using a touch-tone phone. A SirsiDynix customer since 1990, Peterborough Council has a collection of 238,000 items, circulates about 894,000 items per year and has more than 54,000 registered users.

Angus Council's Horizon system will be installed on a Windows server and will provide access via a graphical user interface to cataloging, circulation, acquisitions and community information. Access to the online public access catalog will also be available over the Internet via the Horizon Information Portal. A SirsiDynix customer since 1991, Angus Council has a collection of 314,000 items, circulates about 800,000 items per year and has approximately 107,000 registered users.
