HUNTSVILLE, Ala. —December 1, 2005— SirsiDynix announced today that the Citrus County Library System (CCLS) recently selected the SirsiDynix Unicorn® Library Management System to improve library services for this fast-growing county in west central Florida. CCLS will also install the SirsiDynix Enterprise Portal Solution, a single interface to all of the library's high-quality resources, and the SirsiDynix SVA telephone notification system, a convenient, cost-effective way to contact library users automatically.
"As our county continues to grow at a record pace, our library system, like many in Florida, is experiencing the pressure of an ever-increasing demand on services," said Eric C. Head, Citrus County Library System assistant director. "Maintaining quality customer service to a broad spectrum of patrons from many parts of the country is something we take pride in. And migrating to Unicorn is another step in the effort to maintain excellence in library service for our community."
"We feel that making the move to SirsiDynix Unicorn and the Enterprise Portal Solution will help keep us in step with the technology demands of our patrons," added Head. "SirsiDynix's proven track record and continuation of good customer service also factored into our decision to move to Unicorn."
