POMONA, CA. — November 1, 2005—Auto-Graphics, Inc. (AUGR.PK) is pleased to announce that the company has successfully completed SIP2 testing of its AGent technology with SirsiDynix, recognizing Auto-Graphics as a SIP2 certified vendor under the SirsiDynix SIP2 Certification program for the SirsiDynix Unicorn Library Management System. AGent is fully SIP2 compliant and able to communicate with all SIP2 compliant systems. The SIP2 protocol is a standard way for vendors with disparate systems to authenticate users and exchange communication data without the need for modifications to be made to the systems.
The SIP2 protocol effectively integrates library automation technologies from multiple vendors, providing expanded and seamless access to patron information. Furthermore, the trend towards increased electronic information access has led to the growth in remote patron services from a variety of vendors, such as portals, ILL, and other library technology, that must be able to seamlessly interconnect.
"SirsiDynix continues its commitment to providing our clients with options and access, to providing confidence and peace of mind in selecting and implementing the best third-party products in the industry, such as Auto-Graphics," said Lamar Jackson, SirsiDynix vice president of Global Alliances. "The SirsiDynix SIP2 Certification Program will help our clients capitalize on the powerful third-party technologies available while safeguarding the integrity of their library systems."
"Completing our testing with SirsiDynix furthers our effort to reach out to all standards-based library automation companies, which we believe is crucial for any company wanting to provide patron-centric services," stated Albert Flores, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Auto-Graphics.
