HUNTSVILLE, Ala.—September 1, 2005— SirsiDynix announced today that the Delaware Division of Libraries / State Library has chosen the SirsiDynix Unicorn Library Management System, as well as SirsiDynix Rooms context management technology, SirsiDynix SingleSearch federated search tool, SirsiDynix Resolver OpenURL reference linking technology, and SirsiDynix Director's Station business intelligence tool, to support the foundation for the creation of a statewide library catalog. In phase one, the Delaware Division of Libraries / State Library, together with libraries in Kent and Sussex Counties, the four Delaware Technical & Community College libraries, and the Delaware Public Archives, will integrate their holdings into a single catalog to benefit from economies of scale, consolidated library technology infrastructure and support, and improved access to library resources and information throughout the state. The new catalog will make it easier for library users in Delaware to explore all types of resources – including ebooks, audiobooks, licensed content, and virtual reference – through a single search interface.
