At the August 2005 meeting of the International Federation of Library Associations (IFLA) Medialab Solutions b.v. will unveil the new expanded User-Interface options for AquaBrowser Library search solution. Prompts, labels, and messages can now be encoded in any non-Roman character set supported by Unicode, and easily maintained using an XML editor. The possibilities for implementations in world languages are virtually unlimited.
First to debut is a Russian User-Interface, which joins the existing English, Spanish, Dutch, German, French, Catalan, and Frisian user interfaces that are already available with AquaBrowser Library. AquaBrowser Library can already be implemented in all Western European and many Eastern European languages.
Unicode is important not only for non-Roman character sets, such as Russian, Arabic, and Chinese, but also for Roman alphabets such as Polish, Czech, and Vietnamese, with challenging diacritics and characters.
An incredible benefit will be towards libraries that cater to multiple-language communities with AquaBrowser Library.
Application Developer, Boaz Leskes states, "The goal behind AquaBrowser Library has always been making information easily accessible to everyone, now we've taken a leap further in making information accessible in everyone's own language." Boaz is part of the team building the new language implementations at Medialab Solutions.
Visit us during the 2005 IFLA Conference in Oslo, Norway from August 14 to 18 with our US partner, The Library Corporation, Inc. in booths 107 & 108 in the Oslo Spektrum conference center to see a demonstration of all of AquaBrowser Library's talents.
