Press Release: Dynix [April 08, 2005]

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.--April 8, 2005--Dynix, the world's leading provider of automation technologies, solutions, and services for libraries, today announced the appointment of Marc Roberson as the company's new vice president of academic solutions. Dynix made the appointment in conjunction with the company's announcement of Corinthian, the most technologically advanced integrated library system available for academic libraries today. In his new position, Roberson will direct the company's Academic Solutions Group and oversee the launch of Corinthian to academic and research libraries worldwide.

"Marc has shown proven leadership in serving Dynix customers, and I am excited for his vision and enthusiasm in meeting the special needs of academic librarians," said Dynix President and CEO Jack Blount. "Corinthian is the culmination of an unprecedented partnership between Dynix and the library community, and Mark is well qualified to continue building on the excellent relationships we enjoy with so many academic libraries."

Roberson began working in the high tech and data processing arena in 1978 and has 17 years of experience in sales and sales management, with more than 10 years spent in the library community. Prior to arriving at Dynix in 2002 as a sales manager, he spent seven years at Innovative Interfaces as manager of contracts and as a regional account manager. Previously, he worked as a sales executive for a California-based PC manufacturer and served as automation consultant for two large San Francisco law firms. His background also includes significant experience in computer programming and operations management.

"I am very excited to be heading up the Dynix Academic Solutions Group in conjunction with our launch of Corinthian," Roberson said. "Dynix already serves more than 1,100 academic libraries around the world, and I am positive that academic librarians will be very pleased with the features, functionality, and advanced technology we have built into Corinthian."

In addition to Roberson's appointment, the company also announced the arrival of Sandy Piver to the Dynix Academic Solutions Group. Piver arrives at Dynix with more than 15 years of experience in sales management, including seven years spent as a regional sales manager for Endeavor Information Systems.
