PROVO, Utah—March 16, 2005— Dynix, the world's premiere provider of automation technologies, solutions, and services for libraries, today announced the arrival of software veteran Jeff Hagins as chief technology officer. Hagins has nearly 25 years of experience as a technology manager and executive and has played leadership roles in product management, development, engineering, and quality assurance for numerous software products. His appointment is designed to further enhance the company's focus on the delivery and continued development of leading ILS software for libraries.

Hagins' career has included such roles as chief architect, vice president of engineering, senior vice president of product management, board member, and chief technology officer for a variety of leading high-technology companies, including Lockheed Martin, J.D. Edwards, TeleComputing, and ASP-One. Most recently, Hagins served as chief technology officer for Apptix, a global provider of service automation software and solutions for the outsourced messaging and desktop services industry.
Hagins has also served as a board member of the ASP Industry Consortium, as an advisor to the Computing Technology Industry Association Software Services Group, and as an advisor to Microsoft on the Communications & Collaboration Developer Advisory Council. He is currently a member of the Gerson-Lehrman Technology, Media, and Telecommunications Council of Advisors.

Hagins holds a degree in computer science and management from the Department of Electrical Engineering at Texas Tech University.
