Walton, MLIS, a leading thinker and accomplished executive in the library community, has been appointed to the Dynix Board of Directors. Walton joins Dynix after recently spending one year as Chairman of the Board of Directors for Ex Libris USA and after serving from 1992 to 1999 as the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Innovative Interfaces.

Walton currently serves as Vice President for Finance and Business at The College of Wooster (Wooster, OH), a position he has held since 1999, where he is responsible for all college operations and fiscal planning.
In addition to his recent roles as Chairman of the Board of Directors for Ex Libris and as Executive Vice President and CFO of Innovative Interfaces, Walton has also played executive leadership roles for SLS Information Systems in Scandinavia, in Spain and Portugal, and in the UK. He has also directed operations for Innovative Interfaces as the company's chief executive in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa , and in the Asia Pacific region.
From 1986 to 1990, Walton worked as President and Founder of Walton Bridge Consulting, a strategic planning and information technology management company that focused on the development of long-range strategic plans for medium-to-large university, library, and municipal IT departments. Completing more than 70 high-level projects in four years, he specialized in information technology planning, budgeting and fund raising for large capital improvement projects, project management for the procurement and installation of large technology systems, and planning and implementation of large retrospective, data conversion projects.
