Calgary Public Library (CPL) sought a new automation system in order to meet its users' demands for enhanced access to the library's catalogue and electronic resources, to provide users with self-service and other advanced technology features, and to help the library achieve increased productivity and efficiency in its operations. The decision to install Horizon followed an extensive RFP process in which Dynix was selected over a number of bidders.
