PROVO, Utah April 29, 2003 Dynix, the world's leading supplier of information management systems for libraries, announced today that Brad Whittle, director of new sales since June 2002 and past regional director of sales from 1994 to 1998, will assume the role of vice president of sales for the Americas, effective immediately. In his new role, Whittle will provide Dynix with extensive leadership experience in technology sales and business development, overseeing both customer and new name sales in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Central and South America.
Mr. Whittle replaces Brian Stern, who previously held the position of vice president of sales for the Americas. Stern has left the company to pursue other opportunities.
Serving as Dynix sales director for the eastern United States from 1994 to 1998 (then Ameritech Library Services), Whittle achieved a contract win rate of 85 percent and increased market penetration for managed service solutions by 125 percent. Between 1998 and 2002, Whittle worked in several technology companies, capitalizing on his leadership skills to establish strategic relationships and generate increased revenues.
Immediately prior to returning to Dynix in 2002, Whittle worked as director of business development for NIC, an electronic commerce solution provider that served local, state, and federal governments. Whittle also spent time as the vice president of sales for Digital Signature Trust, and as vice president of sales for Advocast.
