POMONA, CA, December 6, 2002 — Auto-Graphics, Inc. announces the signing of an agreement with Amigos Library Services to distribute Auto-Graphics' AGent to its member-based network of organizations. AGent is a single search portal software system and is available as a perpetual license with support, or, as a full service site hosted by Auto-Graphics (ASP annual fee).
Auto-Graphics' AGent allows users to simultaneously search multiple databases. The System manages patron authentication for multiple databases; insures copyright compliance against subscription databases; and can be customized at the local library level. The flexible design of AGent allows scaling from a single site to a multi-branch urban institution, or even statewide consortia.
"Amigos is pleased to join in partnership with Auto-Graphics to make this outstanding service available to our members," said Jeff Downing, Manager, Amigos Member Discount Program. "The AGent system will benefit Amigos member libraries by significantly enhancing their searching capabilities. This partnership serves to further the goal of the Amigos A-Plus Member Discount Program, to provide Amigos members access to the latest in electronic information resources from the most popular and respected vendors in the information industry."
