Baldwin Public Library pursues innovation with SirsiDynix Unicorn

Abstract: SirsiDynix announced that Baldwin Public Library in Birmingham, Michigan, recently selected the SirsiDynix Unicorn Library Management System.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala.—October 26, 2005—SirsiDynix announced today that Baldwin Public Library in Birmingham, Michigan, recently selected the SirsiDynix Unicorn Library Management System. The library also chose the SirsiDynix Enterprise Portal Solution, together with the SirsiDynix Rooms content management platform, as its next-generation user interface for leading portal, online catalog, and Web capabilities. In addition, the library purchased SirsiDynix SingleSearch federated search tool, SirsiDynix Resolver OpenURL linking technology, SirsiDynix DataStream enriched content, and SirsiDynix PocketCirc wireless circulation unit.

Constantly looking to improve services and customer relationships, while providing materials that are of literary, educational, recreational, and trend-setting value, Baldwin performed a needs analysis before developing a request for proposal for a new integrated library system.
